The only reason I didn't jump to the 4:1 on the split case it's I found myself shifting to Hi gear several times in the trail ( when gotta move faster ) and I don't like it .. guess you need to do it often ..

I don't need to shift between high and low very often. I'm usually one of the slower drivers in the group anyway.

Are there any dual case options with the D300?

NWF Blackbox is the primary product, but there are other products out there as well. An Atlas 4 speed would bolt in place of my Dana 300, so that's the route I'll likely go some day.

So far I've got the NWF cable shifters for my Dana 300 and their high steer arms for my Dana 60. I'm a big fan of both! Shipping can take some time but their engineering is excellent.

If I was ever to get a D300, I would definitely get the twin stick cable shifters again. Heck I didn't even get to use mine bUT was impressed with the product.

Excellent question. Not yet, although it's on the list. I need to replace my AC compressor (it tested bad, no pressure) and doing that is part of the conversion to the F800 accessory system. I already have the lower water outlet for the F800 setup, just not the rest of it.

I think it'd be ideal for me. The 98 cummins setup fits between my frame rails just fine but leaves little room for the lower coolant hose nor intercooler pipes (should I fit them). The F800 setup doesn't look like it'll encroach on the hood much more than what I've got now and should provide more room underneath for plumbing.

If you find a F800 setup for cheap, let me know!

EDIT:

Since you're installing a 6BT in an 80 the factory 6BT accessory setup won't work for you because the AC compressor will intersect the PS front frame brace. You'll have to run either the F800 setup or the Dustin setup that @Mr Cimarron has.

I'm ordering mine from Cummins in the next few weeks. Already got the upper support braket from guy on 4btswaps to work with my upper outlet/ Thermostat housing.

I also got a Cummins ISB 170 that had a 22si with the pricey Cummins 8 Rib pully on eBay for 1/3 the price of the pully alone.

The A/C compressor will be ordered shortly as well.

Had some amazon bucks from work, so finally got my DC main fuses installed. Loomed up the alternator cable, the cross-battery positive and the starter cable end to end as well. Thanks to @fourtrax for the loom

Yes, I need a waterproof relay box for the truck so I can get my fans off the battery.

Had an issue a week and a half ago where Moonshine wouldn't start at work, then stalled while going down the road. It was a cold day (20*), so I'm leaning towards the B20 gelling, but it could just be that air got into the system through the old fuel filter I had. Not sure at this point, but I've got a new fuel filter and regular diesel for now.

It's diesel from when I changed out the fuel filter. It only looks super dark on the concrete because it's dark out in the pic.

That spot is where I coasted to after she stalled on the road, so, she got repaired right then and there.
