Everyone told me I could replace my own motor mount at the happy hour meeting. This weekend I was able to get that done. It only took me about an hour or two. The old mount was broken in two, seperated from the top and bottom. This also fixed a larger problem. I used to hear/feel a very loud knock every time I turned. I searched all over for this problem. I have not heard it since I replaced the mount. I think it was the mount allow the engine/mount to either turn or lift making the knocking sound.
Now I just hope my other mount and trans mounts are still good.
Thanks for the advice/vote of confidence at the meeting. That is why we get together.
Only mistake was that I used a piece of wood to lift the engine. I put the wood in the front of the oil pan right behind another peice of metal that hangs down. When I got done I found a dent/crease in the front of the oil pan. No problems yet.
