Hey - at least I remembered to take the camera this time! Nothing pic worthy tho!

Took my chainsaw and had my revenge on the tree trunk that had blocked our path to the campsite last year! Had lots of great firewood for the two evenings and made a better bench out of the plank of wood someone else had left. Really sad, as Ken mentioned, that the two seat log furniture that's been there since our first trip in '09 was gone. Cut two longer sections from the base of the trunk for end tables or eating tables around the fire pit and several smaller logs to support the bench. Left a dozen more along the edge of the campsite by the road. Those will probably get split and burned by others eventually and that's fine. We burned our share and Ken had room in their Taco to take what was left of what I'd split home.

Cool pics, really cool. Kinda reminds me of the Flinstones. I am surpised Brent did not give some chainsaw furniture building a whack.

Would have loved to have made the trip but have one kid at Boston University and another on the way to University of Washinton. Room and board (not including tuition) for one semester at BU is $6000.00. Now you know why I buy used camping gear, used truck parts including used tires. BTW I'm not whining cause I feel fortunate to be able to help my kids and hopefully see them do better than me. Well I'm kinda whining...

That's really true but I would feel compelled to pay half the gas which is probably about the same cost as me going on my own.
