This was the setup I was trying to accomplish for LCDC2020. But due to unavailable parts, I didn’t get my fridge slide.

Just received my fridge slide and able to get the fridge position with Yeti. I think it leave enough room for a single person sleeping platform. Not perfect setup, but can work around. My ARB element fridge will be powered by Yeti. While Yeti is charged by vehicle alternator. This power arrangement is a better combination than using solar panel.

Since coronacation give me more wrench time, I got the roof rack installed. I’m using Rhino Rack Pioneer platform. Got the optional wind fairing too. It does cut down wind noise on high speed.

Was looking back through your build and curious to know more about the wind fairing. Where does the front edge of your Pioneer platform end as it relates to your sunroof? Also, does the fairing interfere with operating the sunroof (i.e, open/close, raise/lower)?

I have the 7ft Pioneer platform and the front end of it sits about 3" back from the front edge of the sunroof. Was thinking about getting the same fairing, but not sure how that would work.

Thanks.

Truthfully, I don't know if the wind fairing actually reduced wind noise. I installed the wind fairing. It's adjustable so it will not interfere with sunroof operational. I try out 2 position for the wind fairing. one position, I got some low frequency wind noise driving 40-50 miles. Move to a different position (moving closer to the front of the rack), now I get high pitch wind noise when 60+mph. Now, I thinking to remove the wind fairing.

Coming from Front Runner roof rack setup, I made some assumption wind fairing is needed. My last rig has Front Runner Slimline II roof rack. Wind fairing is a must.

Here is some complaint regard Rhino Rack pioneer roof rack. Too many plastic/ABS. Same as the wind fairing. Comparing to Front Runner, front runner use more metal than plastic/ABS.

Thanks for the feedback. I might just pass on getting one and just turn the radio up louder.

I just want to share my real feedback. I'll take it off and will report back. Wish I will do more travel these days, but we're mostly stuck at home.

From my initial installation on both roof rack, rhino rack is not as square as front runner rack. The aero dynamic on the pioneer rack platform probably will not create as much wind noise as front runner slimline II.

More upgrade in progress. I’m installing a set of Ironman 4x4 foam cell pro 2” suspension kit with SPC UCA.

in additional, I will be replacing the brakes with a set of EBC rotors and brake pad. Switching to SS brake line and Brake fluid will be flush/refreshed.

Hey man, great build thread. Thanks for sharing so many pictures and vids. Questions about the brakes...

1. Can you tell me the part numbers for the EBC rotors, pads, and calipers (assuming you got calipers too but I may have missed that)? EBC makes several versions/stages, etc. and I'm trying to select the most appropriate ones for a daily driver / occasional tower.
2. Are you still running these under Rock Warrior wheels? If so, how are they holding up after about year? Any issues with fit, rubbing, performance, brake dust? I'd expect more dust than with the OEMs but is it ridiculous?

Nice rig!

I have EBC stage 3 setup. For LC, I think there is 3 stage - 3,5 & 8. 3 is using green stuff pad. 5 is using yellow pad and 8 is using orange pad. There will be brake dust due to the brake material.

Here is the part no. for stage 3. This is include brake pads and rotors.

Rear S3KR1108

As of caliper, I’m still using oem. I just buy a few spray paint can for caliper and dress it up.

Not much change since July. I’ve been collecting parts for more change, so stay tune. I only change the snorkel head to LC7x style. The front faced snorkel head is not optimal for snow storm or heavy rain driving.

The rig currently riding on oem 18” wheel wrapped with BFG KO2 275/70R18. I do have a set 17” RW wheel which I’m planning swap out in the future. I will be running 285/75R17 with the RW wheel.

I also have the Rhino fairing. Yes, it does reduce noise compared to the bare rack. However, I’ve come to the conclusion it doesn’t reduce noise any more than my light bar alone. I had the fairing alone, fairing behind light bar, and now light bar alone.

The winter is gone and spring is here. Time for new upgrade. The prep for LCDC started. Oem running board removed and replaced with Slee Slider.

While doing this repair, I took the additional maintenance and replaced water pump, hose, belt, pulley, tensioner and thermostat.

After radiator repaired, I took the rig out for 900+ miles trip with a trailer. No problem towing the trailer.

Photo dump in progress.

I’m currently in route to LCDC 2021. Previous year, I named my trip “getlost”. I’m officially name my 2021 LCDC trip as “detour”.

I’m taking a long detour to Colorado and return home. I’m 3000+ Miles and still not reach Colorado yet.

I started my journey from MA. I drove straight to VA. In VA, I drove through skyline dr and catch sunrise. Then, I drove to WV and visit the newest US national, New River Gorge National Park. From WV, I drove down to TN. Drove pass KY (bardstown) and Bowling Green. Visit a friend in TN and pick up dinner in Nashville. I drove south using Natchez Parkway. Got off the parkway at Jackson MS and get on I-20 toward Dallas TX.

here is some of the pics.

My “Detour” journey completed and I’m safely return home. Here is my route info. I have 7889 miles registered on the ODO. I camped all the 17 nights in a mix of rest area, national forest, BLM and campground. It was an epic roadtrip which I wish I can get back on the road. I visited 10+ national parks, attended LCDC 7, hangout with friends and offroad/trail ride in Moab & Ouray. Found some epic camp spot along the journey.

My LC200 also get an official name - White Minivan. It’s never give me any issue throughout the journey except asking me for a lot of Dino juice drink. I’ll buy her a drink anytime.

Along the shore of Upper Michigan.
