"Moan" from rear end when stopping on hill

I used the term moan because its much lower than a screech and not at all grinding.

Happens when I'm going downhill and gradually come to a stop. No repeat on the flat.

What year is your truck? Do you know if you have disc or drum rear brakes?
 
The 4 wheel disc 80s have a tendancy to do this while offroading and creeping down things, though I've never heard one do it at road speeds. I have video of the first rear disc 80 in the US doing this during a trail test back in '92.

I'd suspect you have either contaminated pads/rotors or aftermarket pads (or both).

Thanks for the comments -I have a 95 with discs all round, about 130K on the vehicle.
