Mitsubishi Montero present

I had a 92 Montero fall on my trailer from the sky

It currently has a AK47 inside the engine so...

I might fix it if I can find a cheap plug and play swap engine.

I will buy anybody that sources me an engine a case of beer of choice.

3.0l V6 - 6G72 engine

Auto transmission - seems good in the parking lot

The engine runs and appears to be getting even compression, just has severe knocking.

I might start by pulling the pan

...curse of the dark oil

Can the pan be removed w/ the engine in-chassis? Mitsubishi's IFS parts are big & beefy compared to tiny toyota parts, gets crowded under there.
