Mirror choices (not talking about aftermarket 'towing' mirrors) (1 Viewer)

Not asking about towing mirrors. When you need to consider replacing original factory mirrors are you going for genuine (if available) or aftermarket (TYC brand or similar)?

I don't have (and don't like) the type of mirrors with the additional round bit like this (the one in the pic is an actual factory mirror probably from a later year 80)...

I'm aware that LHD and RHD mirrors have very different mount angles.

I replaced both my mirrors with factory OEM ones. Why go aftermarket if OEM are available?

Didn't I give you a new mirror with the panels I sold you? That's an aftermarket mirror, so was the mirror on the passenger door. Just as good as oem, no motor to worry about.

Those round mirrors are just glue on bits you can buy down at supercheap. They eliminate blind spots, make parking easier. Function>form.
