mini truck gutts into a 24v starter?

I have heard tell that the guts from a 12v mini truck starter will fit into a 2H 24v starter is this true? I an thinking about converting to 12v?

Or take your 24 volt one to a starter rebuild shop and have them wind it for 12 volts.

I dunno about the guts thing.

I did this two 1hZ starters and it worked well, second starter I changed over I left the magnetic switch 24 volts as some one on the board told me it would work.

It does not work, install the switcha and motor onto the 1HZ mount.

Not sure about the 12H being compatable, but sure makes sense it would be.
