I have been using Guppies mini truck for dummies FAQ, thanks alot by the way, and I have a quick question. In the pic below you have the felt wiper, the rubber seal and a gold piece that was on my knuckle when I removed it from my mini truck donor. The only thing I don't get is that I did not get one of these with my axle rebuild kit from Kurt at cruiser outfitters. Should I reuse the one I have and if so if it is bent out of shape is that gonna work? Thanks guys Attached Images

Yes. Rebuilds Dont Come With The Magical Gold Seal So Reuse It.

Some, but not all, axle rebuild kits include the rings. If its severely bent, I would replace it. BTW, it is surprisingly difficult to find replacements.

buy the felt kit from the dealer. it comes with new split rings and the two back halves.

I have the split metal rings as well as the half-moon backing plates in stock. They are not included in our standard rebuild kits as they are generally completely re-usable, and in the case of a disc brake swap you often have spares as drum & disc are the same. If your still in need, give us a ring and we'll get you taken care of!

Thanks Kurt but I did get to use the ones from the drum setup. I was just extra careful not to mess them up this time!
