Thanks, Woody. Just so happens I'm shopping for a GM bellhousing and Nelms is a Chevy dealer. So I called just to get a feel for it. The parts manager is happy to work with us. Seems straightforward enough.
But when I told him I was looking for a stock bellhousing for a '99 Chev 1-ton with NV4500 he wasn't able to look up the bellhousing for my application without the VIN! That way he can type in the VIN and VOILA up pops the part number. This is crippled, but I'm willing to find out locally what part number I need and get a price quote from Nelms. Like I said, he is willing to honor the discount.
It remains to be seen how their price compares to what I can do in Missoula.
