I made myself some step sliders for my 1996 cruiser and modified some running board trim to tidy up the front flares and also act as a mini mud flap. I ended up not using them.
They’re similar to what I made in this thread except I left more material to act as a mud flap and deflect road debris from the body.
$50 plus shipping. No hardware.
I also have a pair of these rear rubber caps which are unmodified. They have a small repair which is well done and strong. I didn’t notice it when I removed them. $30 plus shipping.

I'm sure someone has already thought of and done this but I didn't see a thread. After selling my running boards and getting sliders I didn't like the look of the bottom of the flares. I lived with it because I didn't want to buy mud flaps or cut the bottoms off the flares. It was obvious...
