Method to soften Old Hard Rubber Motorcycle Air Cleaner Parts (1 Viewer)

I have several old Honda CT90's and on almost all of them the rubber boot between the carb and air cleaner had become very hard which made it difficult to disassemble or assemble these parts. I tried several methods that I found on the web to try and soften these rubber parts and finally found one using oil of wintergreen that really worked.
