So, a couple of guys I work with have suggested that I get a set of these and put them on my hoop on my front Demello OR bumper.

I'm actually considering it... :D

I would expect to see these on the front of either 1) a old school chevy or ford highboy and 2) My brothers old 82 caddy hearse.

I'm not sure about a new FJ though.

New FJ? It's 2 years old and just hit 50K miles this week... :D

Good point though, it might look better on my "new to me" 78 FJ40 that I made the deal on today. :bounce:

Geeze, you're going to have as many miles as my 97 80 series soon at the rate you're going.

Congrats on the 40 series. The horns would look good on it.

Come December when the lil one shows up, I think my long distance wheelin trips will come to a screeching halt for a couple of years...and now I have another vehicle to drive as well.

Actually- it's not as bad as you're thinking. You just have to pack a LOT more stuff.

We took Leif to colorado and wheeled when he was 3 months old, and then the TCCC07 at 2 yrs old... not much in between there though....

Can you please have Michelle call Steph and tell her that...cause she won't believe me if I tell her that...

I can send photos.... !

But seriously, pretty much until they are 1 they aren't much more than a sometimes noisy poop machine. They may be cute, cudly, bla bla bla.... but they don't 'do' anything, or really care about anything other than boobs. After they get mobile they start to be more interesting, but they couldn't care less if the care seat they are strapped to is on the 'con or I-35. Honestly, they sleep better on trails as long as you don't drive like Tony.

Even with my driving, they still fall asleep ;)

Remember, momentum can be your friend :D

If I were to sleep like that, I wouldn't be able to turn my head for weeks! Gotta love kids!

That photo does not support your case. It's odvious that you took a bump at "tony speed" and snapped her head clean off!

No kidding- I think I got a pinched nerve just looking at that pic.

LMAO! That's funny stuff right there. "Clean off."

It did take a second or two to find her head in that picture.

Well, admittedly, she didn't conk out until we were back up by the rock garden - no more obstacles that required a heavy right foot :D

Next year, I'll have some real tires and won't feel the need for speed........as much. I'll probably still have open diffs, though.

What about a winch so you can pull your fearless leader out... :D You guys should really enjoy the TT article! I'll never forget Brent handing me the phone and Jim saying, "We're stuck" and me responding back with "Who's stuck", Jim "All of us"...doh!

"What do you need?"

"Bring a Chainsaw..."

I figured that the winch went without saying - imagine how much trouble I could get into with serious tires  .....hopefully after x-mas I'll have a little extra coin for one - don't know for sure what I want yet. I'm thinking either that pimpin' Warn with the air compressor or a Summit like Doc's.

You have me a little worried as to why we in particular would enjoy the article so much......

You wouldn't by chance want to send an advance teaser to the parties invloved, would you?

Next year I'll have both a bow saw and axe with me..........maybe a chainsaw too.....:D

Tony

To avoid getting stuck is relatively simple. Just don't follow me, or go where I suggest.

Art, you know that it took a couple moderately modded FJ Cruisers (with skilled drivers) get to where a stock, street tired, 80 went to get stuck (whilst driven by a rookie). :D:D:D

Yeah, next year I'll bring a bow saw too. We'll not only do it again next year, we'll get stuck, cut down a few trees, free ourselves and bring back the firewood. :grinpimp:

(As a side note, I am continually impressed by the FJ Cruiser.)
