I am planning on the same for the floor of my rig. I actually got some used lockers that have diamond shapes cut out, its about 18-20ga. and should be easier to deal with than extruded since its flat.

I can't comment that it helps visibility yet as my rig isn't done. I would think that it would help with spotting hangups on the rear diff, and suspension. Also if used as inner fender you could possibly see stuff in front of the wheels.

If you are worried about crud, you could always back with lexan or similar, though it may not hold up for more than a season or two without scratching badly.

Todd,
I think Mike Smythe is running some mesh in his blue cruiser. You may want to ask him if he likes it so far. He knows his sh.t and puts that truck to the test every time he drives it from what I have seen.
Hope all is well.

Sounds like a bad idea because I drove my cruiser for like 2 days without a tranny hump and metelted my shue and burned my leg. I say stick with a solid flor or ust lexan.

I am missing half of my tranny hump and absolutely hate it..
