I received the following PM. My response is yes if there are enough people interested. If you are interested in attending West TN meetings please post up.
Thanks
Roger

Howdy!

How would y'all feel about us starting up a Memphis based wing of the STLCA?

I noticed that you have Nashville and Chatanooga meetings now, but we're a good ways away to make the meetings and drive back.

Let me know what you think,

Not sure what that actually entails, but I'm interested.

Basically you all would be able to hold your own meetings with other local cruiserheads but would be part of STLCA for club rides and events. We have not had many rides this summer as several of us have been donating our time working on the trails at Tellico in an attempt to keep the area open. Most years we have 4-6 club rides, the GSMTR event at Tellico and the annual meeting and ride in Oct. at Gray Rock in AL.

I'de be up for it, sent a PM with my info.

Sweet, looks like we have a few people interested. So far we've got...

Capocaccia

BillRiley
Bomar

FJ60Cam

I've had more people vote for weekends than anything else. How does the 14th or the 21st (both Saturdays) around 6~7 work for everyone? Maybe we could meet at the E.Memphis Dan McGuiness and claim the patio. Holler back and let me know what you think.

Four Wheel Parts on Covington Pike is all for having offroad club meetings at their location.

Also, just an idea. What if we have an offroad car show? Like a 4X4 Car Show? Im friends with alot of Jeep drivers that are all at www.midsouthjeeps.com a bunch of great guys who arent biased about their rigs but just as passionate about what they do as we are. I say, we have like a 10$entry fee (for the cars that is & free public entry to gain popularity) to the contest, prizes are just trophies or donated gifts and the money goes to St. Jude or Tread Lightly or something like that. It would just be a fun thing to do and Im sure 4WP would be willing to help us out on that. Let me know if that has any interest.

Also, we could say half the profit goes to a charity and we could make Midsouth Land Cruisers stickers or what not. Just thinking out loud here.

I had hoped to attend your first meet and greet, but I am working most weekends at Tellico. We are trying to fix as many of the issues as possible in hopes of heading off the lawsuit from TU. For those that have not heard Trout Unlimited and others have sent the Forest service a Notice to sue in 60 days under the clean water act to close the area down.

Are you considering forming your own chapter or becoming part of STLCA?

I guess we could get STLCA stickers and such I didnt really know about them.

We might have to meet @ Chuckie Cheese so that Bryan and Capocaccia can get in!!

:flipoff2:

I thought the general consensus was to form another subchapter of the STLCA.

That was my understanding, just checking after I saw the reference to Midsouth land cruiser stickers.

Does Dan McGuiness have Sierra Nevada on tap?
