I am proposing we alternate meetings, one month in Navhville and one month in Chattanooga, however if there is enough intrest in monthly meetings we could do monthly at both cities, on different days so I could attend both, as I live Manchester. Let the disscusion begin.:)

I like the Nashville meetings . . . 5 minutes from home.

We plan to continuing to have the Nashville meetings in that area the question is if we are going to have them every month or everyother month. I would like to find a better place in that area to meet, any suggestions.

I would not be opposed to the CHT/NSH meetings. It might be better for attendance if they were on a Friday or Saturday night.

I'm sure that we could find a meeting place that would accomadate a larger group here in Nashville.

Roger either works for me.

Nashville when I'm in town:doh:

The Friday night or weekend idea seems good.

yeah, i'm down for finding a better place up here in nashville...
i like cici's and all, but maybe someplace with some better food and perhaps beer...

i'd also be down for headin to the chattanooga meetings on occassion, especially if some carpooling could happen

We used to do some Saturday morning meetings , and then trail ride. It would be cool if we could make that work again, but that's just some food for thought. My vote is for where ever and when ever we can get the most people to show up. Every other month in Chatt. I may be able to make. Of course it's a looong ways to anywhere for here.

In the past the majority did not like Friday or Saturday as there are to many other things going on those evenings. We tried the Saturday trail ride and meeting a couple of years ago and it did not work well. People have more conflicts on Saturday and those that did not have their rigs running did not come so attendance was low. I scheduled the next meeting for Saturday so we could also have some help assembling GSMTR packages but there is also a large FJ Cruiser/Wagon ride that weekend, and then there is baseball, soccer etc. for the childern. Also if we continue to have the meetings at a restaurant it can be hard to get space on a weekend night.
So I think a weekday evening is probably the best time to get everyone together. I however will show up on what ever night will work for the majority.

I am in favor of finding a different location in the Nashville area and am not opposed to one that serves  but it needs either a private room for the meeting or be a quite place, the music in the place we met in Chattanooga was so loud you could hardly talk to the person sitting next to you.

well roger,

i'll take it upon myself to go to every bar, every hole-in-the-wall, every dive, and sample their beer until i find the perfect location for our meetings...

Thanks Roger! Alternates in Chatt would be great, or at least better for me, as you know I'm coming from Knoxville.
I would not be able to attend the Nashville meetings. Maybe on some occassions, like trailrides, just too far from K-town.
Weeknights would also be best as well. Like you said, too much stuff comes up on weekends. Hopefully wheelin', right? :)
I'm pretty flexible as to which weeknight. Thursdays might get my vote since I would be getting home pretty late and only have to worry about making it through a Friday at work. But again, I'm flexible.
I also agree that looking for a private room, or a quieter background would do better.
It was very loud last time and hard to hear. And as always, beer is good.

Atta boy malphrus. Take one for the team. :D

I talked to Bob at TPI today, he is willing to host meetings at his shop in Gallatin, he'll provide food we provide beverages. Is this location a problem for anyone in the Nashville area ? If there are no major objections I will schedule the June meeting there, looking at Monday June 4 th.

Gallatin is good for me.

no problems with gallatin for me...i'll be out of town on the 4th, however, so looks like another missed meeting, ha ha

Andy,
if we could get a few more people from K-town to come to the meetings I may be able to find a place in Sweetwater (exit60) or Athens to have the meetings. This would be more central to Chatt. and Knoxville.

I'm thinking that T-bones would be good for the June Chattanooga meeting. A bit closer to the interstate, some damn fine wings, and it has a parking lot...so we can drool over the rigs in attendance from the porch :D

DATE: TBD post up if you have a good day (or a better location)(1-3 no good: Razorback Ramble)

7-10 June is not good for me, Southeast 4 Runner Jamboree at Tellico ( I go to promote TLCA) and SFWDA Summer conference, I'm going to try to catch the day they have the meeting .

Off the top of my head, here's a list of cruisers/heads that I know in K-town...

FJ80 - Rance
FJ80 - Wes
FJ80 - Darin
FJ - Eric (supposed to have a few other cruiser contacts)
FJ80 - Jordan

I'll contact these guys and see if we can round up any more.

Thanks Rob, I'll let you know what I find.

Andy
