Hey gang,

The wife, 2.5 year old boy and I finally made the trek/move to SoCal last week. I saw a while back the Big Bear excursions which look awesome!

Besides getting together to talk trucks anyone interested in bringing the fams?
 
Where about? I have fam, kids, all who travel well enough :)

I'm in SD though.
 
Great to see so many! We’re in Irvine. Maybe brunch to get acquainted then some mild wheeling if there is any nearby?

From irvine there is holy jim canyon (mild) with a killer Mexican restaurant right outside the canyon.....

Big bear isn’t far, ive run most the trails up there through The years. Silver wood lake run run (45 mins away) would be easy too

How do you guys feel about next Sat or Sunday? Maybe breakfast in town around 9-10. Then caravan somewhere no more than an hour away - perhaps Silver Lake? Want to keep it light and not too far away from home with wife due in a few weeks!

If Saturday 7/28 works for all let’s do it!

Now we just need everyone to list their names and cell so we can group text more efficiently!
 
Main divide truck trail (off of 74) is mellow w. the view! Nice biker bar near turn off. Did I say biker bar?

Silver wood lake runs from 15 all the way to big bear. there is a pretty steep section, I believe on the big bear side of the lake. Note, this trail requires running the I10/I15 gauntlet, which I personally avoid at all costs.

I might be down for Sat. NOTE that mellow is the word of the day....as I have some injury restrictions:bang:
 
7/28 is tough for me, it's my Dads 75th bday that day, and we have a large party planned.

I just ran silver wood in my 2018 jeep rubicon JL on 35’s and it was a snooze fest for that- but I’m game for any trail

I too said very local. The details are what we make it. I’m looking to you guys for the best local spot. I can suggest a grub spot but the bigger issue seems to be that we have lost the others. Perhaps we need to reschedule?
