As the title says, my latest foster Cruiser is here!
2000 local. Owner didn’t want to go down rabbit hole of what might be wrong. That list is either transfer case, rear dif, or ATRAC.
Shop knows me and when he asked if they could find someone to sell it to “as is”... I was on-site in 30 minutes...
So here it is!!!

Nice. Any codes showing up?

Thanks!
No codes...
I have 5 transfer cases at my house. They’re brothers to this one if not identical minus the small cooler that hangs off the side.

TRUST ME, I spent 3 hours at the car wash yesterday after I got it... still need to pressure wash the engine bay and underneath too.

No lights for the Center Dif or the CDL. It DOES engage though with the button and when you drop it into Lo range.
It’s got a host of random issues. But the transfer case is the biggest one right now. I’ll be daily driving it to see what else is wrong, so if you see me in the side of the road, stop and say “hi!”. LOL!

So when in Lo range and the CDL button pushed, the CDL light on the dash DOES NOT come on, correct? But when the CDL button is engaged, you can tell it is actually locking the CDL?

If that's the case, it is the rear most solenoid/switch on the Tcase that needs to be replaced (or you can remove it and touch a 9v battery to it and work the ball up and down with some WD40 to try and loosen it).

Or I'm completely wrong lol...

Today’s upgrades are front bumper and 18” wheels. I like it so far

Threw together a cargo shelf at lunch. And covered it this evening. It’s the best thing in my opinion cause I can throw boxes under it, or remove it in a minute. A tire fits under it, it hides stuff from sight, and you can sleep on it with the seats down... I always do these in my wagons.

eric, I have enough leftover HID conversion stuff from theretrofitsource I never sold to do a retrofit on those headlights if you want it. NIB projectors, H1 HID bulbs, ballasts and wiring harness.

Installed snorkel. Raised the front 2” and trying out these steel wheels before I get the new tires.
IF I do these steel wheels then I’ll get some spacers to push them out 1.5” for a better stance. Was thinking of powder coating the alloy 18’s but I’m now thinking of just using these steel 18’s and go with the utility look. I REALLY dig these.
I’m in my second week and I am LOVING being back in a DD Cruiser... At this point I think I’ll keep this up and hang on to it for a while! Sliders are ordered and will be put on in the coming weeks!

TG sliders. I'm gonna cut out some flat stock and tack them in to make them look like slee slider-steps and make them more flat than angled. This truck is gonna be a LEAF LOOKER with the occasional #GoesHardToThePaint only when non-yota folk test me. LOL.

BTW, @Bama4door I agree with you about the wheels... Dugan this past weekend told me to bring them to ACC/SmokingGun and he would get the alloy's powder coated satin black. I'm taking my RC rock bouncer over too to get a fresh powder coat at the same time. Ricky says he wants these steelies when he gets back, so I'll let him do what he wants with them.

@justbecause, when you coming over for a meeting or get together?!

I like it.
