Mechanic for Timing belt. 2UZ-FE LX470 (1 Viewer)

This job is far above my time and talent threshold. I really don’t want to pay $3000 to a shop if someone on here knows a guy that can do it in his garage. Probably other stuff I should do to this truck too. Mostly maintenance stuff. Anybody?
I’m in Austin, but I’d drive most places in Central Texas or even Houston.

I second LCS. These guys are fair and do excellent work. May want them to do water pump while they are at it.

Land Cruiser Specialists on 183 in North Austin are perfect. Sean and Hunter know J100s inside and out. The Timing Belt and Water Pump should be changed out at the same time. Depending on mileage, should consider things like the crank and cam seals along with possibly the fan bracket and serpentine belt. You could get the ENTIRE 180k service done at LCS for under $2k with ALL parts including plugs. They are very fair and very, very good with Cruisers.

Bearden Automotive off North 183 are also quite good and very fairly priced. They specialize in Toyota/Lexus. I would consider them a close 2nd to LCS.
