Where do you measure the fj40 to see if it was raised any by how much?

Anyone? I Need to buy shocks and not sure which length to buy. I think it has a 2 inch lift with longer shackles but that is it.

The correct way to measure shock length needed is to jack frame (not axle housing) up until tires are off the ground, hanging down at full droop. Measure from top pin to bottom pin. Now use a shock approx. 1" longer than your measurement.
