Hi everyone,

I am a new member as of today. I am Canadian!!! I bought an '89 FJ62 last summer. Now I am putting new tires on it. I am going with BF Goodrich AT 33x10x5's. Can anyone tell me if I need to do anything with my suspension?

If you have the original springs, then you are probably going run into problems with 33's. Search just the 60/62 forum in upper right for suspension lifts and readup. Upgrading the springs with a lift kit makes a big improvement.

The 62 springs seem to hold their arch a little better than the 60's so you might be fine on clearance. Cheapest route to fit them would be a small shackle lift. Searching will provide you hours of reading of options. Dont forget to post up some pics.

Im planning on getting an extra leaf spring for now, will this do for now? ?That will give me 2.5 to 3in.
