Before installing the set of Mcgard Spline drive lug nuts, I notice that the supplied tool is very light and cheap feeling. I read around on other forums saying that the tool will break after several uses. I purchased the kit from lugshack.com with 3 extra tools just in case any of them break. I really like the anodized red cap which matches my 80 well. For me its much more for aesthetics rather than security. any ideas on how to strengthen the tool?

Thanks

I've had no problems with mine and 90 ft/lbs torque. Used it with an impact as well.

Maybe others who broke the socket had one tons/ higher torque spec?

Thanks for the replies. I will install them when i mount my new wheels and tires next week. Im also planning on buying a set for my DD Hyundai.
