Any know issues to be aware of?

Is the power adequate for 18"?

Thanks in advance!

How much ??
How's it run ??
What is your intended use ??

It would probably work for occasional light work.... yard, camp, downed trees on trail etc...

No experience with that series but ....

I had an old Mac 110 that I use as a limb saw while climbing as it was the only thing I had around that was small enough to hang off the belt and climb with... and it ran for ever...

For frequent or heavy work I have stuck to Stihl.... more $$ up front but they can handle rough use...
Have quite a bit of hours with them, from an 036, 044 to the 084 have seen them survive some major hits and still keep working, so I am biased..

Thanks for your input. I would love a Stihl but can't justify the cost for light yard use, and occasional trail/camping use.

This one runs fine and will cost me $40 :D

Can't really say no at that price.

Thanks Dan! I was hoping you would post.

I did find that Husqvarna owns the brand now and they are selling new units. Info on this particular model was a bit scarce. Once I have it in hand I'll start looking for a dealer with parts.

What would you suggest I pick up for spare parts?

My chain saw budget was $0, so getting this deal from a fellow club member was nice and at least it's a decent brand.

Husqvarna bought the Titan series of McCulloch at the liquidation sale. The bought the molds, patten rights, etc and move 1/2 of the presses and molding machines to Mexico and 1/2 to Europe.

A company named Ken She or something like that in Taiwan bought the other manufacturing items. They ramped up production in China. They got it major touble when they began importing McCulloch items for sale in USA. You can mainly find them at Costco, and a few other warehouse stores.

They were fined by the EPA and CARB around $25mil for importing and selling non emission compliant equipment in the USA. Company filed for BR so they did not have to pay the fine. It was sold at auction to the people who already owned it and they are manufacturing again.

Air filters are something to start collecting.

Interesting history. Probably all too common of a story. I figured the Costco stuff was from China (never looked close).

Thanks for the info!

I have owned a Mcculloch for a good number of years. It is very similar to the one posted but mine has a 16in. bar. Mine has seen very heavy use over the years. I have absolutly no complaints. It has been one great little chainsaw. The only repairs that I ahve had to make is replace the fuel lines acct they finally started cracking and leaking. I have gone through numerous chains and one replacement bar. It still cranks easly and the motor runs strong. I have always put a small amout of Marvel Mystery oil in with the oil and gas mixture when mixing up a new batch of gas. I dont know if this has anything to do with it but I haven't had any problems with chainsaw, weed eater, or outboard motor. I alway put it in anything that may sit for awhile without running. My Uncle swears by MMO. I do take really care of anything that I own so I suspect that has more to do with it than enything else.
