Old Business,
Website again, Steve (Lurch) is going to be the webmaster for the HDC.org site and a Moderator on mud.
New business,
1. Meetings will be the first Saturday of the month as a guideline. This will help in planning. There was a bit of discussion on how we handle meetings, here are the plans. From now on, there will be a meeting coordinator for each months meeting. This person will handle all of the planning and logistics of that months meeting. That doesnt mean that they are having it at their homes, it just means that they will do the leg work. We can pick these folks for months in advance and everyone will share in the execution of our meetings even if they cant host at their own places.
2. Sponsors/mentors. Newbies can probably feel overwhelmed by our group and that could detract them from coming back. To ease this we will assign someone to ease the new folks in their transitions to being full fledged HDC'ers. Sponsors can be volunteers or assigned. This should really help us gain/keep new members.
3. Look for more posts on mud about expedition type run in the near future. Some of our folks have a great deal of experience with these types of runs and will be leading some soon. There will be some hardcore and some stocker friendly runs with overnight camping. Stay tuned for more on that.
