Hey Rory, Thanks for helping me with your name. The only one I could remember was Ali. I think that was because of the Ali Special custom rear bumper that I liked so much.

It looks like I will make it as of right now. Is there going to be a convoy? I didn't see where everyone wanted to meet in Albuquerque.

Nothing official yet. Ali and I usually end up at the Denny's on San Mateo and Cutler before these kinds of things. It is real close to I-40, though I wouldn't mind meeting somewhere else. I know that you are Rio Rancho, so...

Mike and Ali, Thanks for the welcoming. I've talked to Paul a little bit about joining and looked at the website. I'm sure I join in the not to distant future.

Rory, What time? I'll be coming down I-25 from paseo del norte so that's not to out of my way. Since I'm not 100% sure I'll make it, let's not make any plan to accommodate me. I'll be able to let you know for sure tomorrow.

See you on Saturday morning. Ross says he wants to come so I'll get him up as early as possible and try to catch up with you guys.

We generally use CB Channel 40 for trail and highway communication and 146.46 (simplex) for those with 2M capabilities.

Welcome Lawrence

Rudy here, I met you at Starbucks before a Puerco Run (your wife works with Pat) I was in a red 4Runner. Glad to see you are looking to join! I guess you meant the question about time for Rory (don't want that confusion b/c there was assumably some a@#hole in our group that left a 60 seriers LC stuck in Cedar Crest and I know I was not there).

All kidding aside, they are a great group! Hope to see you at a meeting (if I can even get to them myself), as for the run, maybe? Have a wedding to attend up north.

Rudy

Let's make it real easy to meet up with folks. Let's meet at the Isleta gas station at 7.45 am. Rory and I can meet up for breakfast somewhere else before heading to this meeting place. Let's call this the ABQ South portal since we have a north Portal already.

The list:
Rory
Ali
Jack
Lawrence
Mike
Rudy? Come on, you know you want to!!!

Let's make it real easy to meet up with folks. Let's meet at the airport exit, but on the on ramp to I-25 Southbound side at ???? am. I don't know how long it takes to drive to Socorro from the airport so let me know and I'll edit. Rory and I can meet up for breakfast before heading to this meeting place. I am not going, but might I suggest the gas station at the exit to Isleta? That way if anyone needs, they can gas up, snack up, java bean up?

Plus, they may harrass you sitting on the exit near the airport.

If we're going to be in Socorro by 9, I think we'll have to meet up at 7:45.

What are you trying to say Rudy.... :flipoff2:
Ron, are you afraid they'll mistake Ali for a mad Arab?

Hmm, a line of urban assault vehicles, lined up at the airport exit, and right in the path of the landing strip. Every time I go to the airport, there is someone parked along that road, and the cops/security are always there telling them to move on. I imagine the same would happen, even if you were at the exit ramp.

Lawrence is right, we are suppose to meet in Socorro at 9:00am, see you guys in the morning. Me, well I will need to leave at about 8:55am.:)

Excellent, I changed the meeting time and location for the ABQ folks.

Jack,
We'll meet you at Socorro at 9. CB channel 40.

Isletta gas station at 7:45. I'll be there but don't know where it is. Ross moves a bit slow in the morning. The truck is pretty well packed and ready. I'll need to fill up at the meeting place and again in Socorro. You won't see many posts from me bragging about gas mileage with the changes I've made this past year.

Exit 215, as soon as you get off the exit ramp, it'll be on your right. You can't miss it.

You are right Ali, I do (or now did) want to go on the run, but my wants contradict my needs and time. Hope you all have a great time!

What are you trying to say Rudy.... :flipoff2:

Rory,

I hope you read the second part of the post (besides kidding....). Thanks, you are the first (even though I don't post much) to give me that mud salute!

Not worry Rudy, I knew you were teasing.

And I'll salute you every time you post if you want :flipoff2:

Rory, glad to see you made it back. I just got in. It was a long day. You guys missed some great trails at Gordy's. We'll have to make it back out there again and spend the day there.

You better remember the Gordy trails as you're gonna show me where they are another time!!!

It was cool to see the Bomber crash site and the trail was very cool.

Anytime. It's actually pretty easy to get to. Once there you drop into an arroyo, lots of sand and a little bit of rocks. There are two side trails from there that I know of. One is called Pucker Falls, we drove in a ways on this trail and then came back out. Lots of rocks and ledges and unless you're a competition buggy, you'll have to turn around when you actually get to the falls. That was the hardest trail I've ever been on. Sliders are an absolute must. The other trail, I don't know it's name, was a few miles long with a few small rock gardens, nothing too big, and quite a few rock ledges, about 3' high. Unfortunately, with only the two of us, we didn't get many pics as we were both more worried about spotting, which I suck at, than taking pictures.
