I have been trying to do a search but with little information about the following.

I own a 2010 LC200 V6 with a Manual transmission, and something is happening that I can not understand why and would like to sort it out. When Shifting up the gears there is a Delayed response between when applying the throttle to actually getting power down, this delay is more noted when using more revs. The harder you try to push the car and shift faster the longer the delay.

This delay happens between all gears, 1st to 2nd, 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th.. I have also spoken to another person who owns the same V6 4.0 thats fitted with a supercharger he also said he has the same delay and it was because of the electric clutch. so I do not understand that.

Anyone care to explain please.. the delay is so bad that on WOT at rev limiter changed to next gear I can get a over 1 second delay

I have never heard of a car using an electric clutch, other than some transmissions in sports cars.

I think it might be the drive by wire throttle that is cutting power when the clutch is engaged to prevent damage to the drivetrain from shifting too fast.

I am totally guessing, but I bet there is a delay built into the system to allow the rotating mass on the flywheel side to slowdown to closer match the speed of the pressure pressure plate when the clutch is re-engaged.

it sure does feel like the throttle is staying closed ,, I will try to look more into it and maybe bypass this issue because it is very frustrating

omg its 2017, .. anyways an update on the issue. The Delay is due to the throttle body not opening fully on wide open throttle. (it actually opens about 10-20% only then slowly to 100%) The delay is not mechanical as I have replaced a new throttle body and a new accelerator pedal. I have also tried one of those boxes that you install to improve the throttle response with no success. I have seen at least 2 other cases with Manual transmission LC200's one had a stroker fitted to the 1GR (4.0 V6) engine and has the same problem.

There is an ECU delay (probably for safety) that calculates Engine load vs throttle opening delay. even installed a Unichip as a piggy back with no success. some tuners have suggested to go with a Motec ECU, as a new independent ECU might solve the delay, it does not explain why this is happening to, as far as I know, to V6 Manual tranny LC200s.

wish I was a little more handy with electronics

Have you talked with underdog racing about using their UCON-EMS?

I used that on my 4.0 to take complete control of the parameters and to see what was really going on in the engine through a laptop while driving. Unichips are more of a plug and get some power theory, UCON is a full on do whatever you want realtime solution.
