Going to use this thread as a diary/photodump to document my build so far.

Picked up this 2010 base model on 01/30/2021 of this year. Spent most of its previous life in Florida. 2 previous owners, was a Certified Lexus Pre-Owned at one point. Got it for a smidge under $21k with a little under 70k on it.

Wheel & Tire day.

went with this specific combo because it’s my daily driver first & foremost. The most offroad it will see are fire roads and dirt trails in the Pine Barrens or beach trips.

Wheels: 18x9 et0 Rays 57DR-X. These clock in at around 26lbs if I remember correctly. Very light.

Tires: 275/65/18 Michelin Primacy XC. $500 takeoffs from a local Ford F-150. Again, very light, around 38lbs per tire.

Lugs/locks: Black conical seat from McGard

112 to 106 hubcentric rings were needed

overall, still getting around 17-18mpg with this new setup and the ride remains very comfortable

Just how good are those well visors? Personally I've never really cared for them, but with my roof top tent and my awning on my rig, when it's damp out I get drips from them landing on my side windows and it streaks them with the dust and dirt from the RTT and awning. So because of that I'm starting to lean on maybe wanting to get them. I just need to see if they will help prevent the drips from falling on my side windows.
What did you pay for them? If they're cheap enough I may just go ahead and get them. If they work great, if not, I didn't invest a lot into them.

Honestly, haven't even driven with them yet. I work from home so my truck sits most of the week. They do appear to be very well made though, no pun intended. Can be had for $53 shipped on Amazon. Only minor nitpick so far is that I might not have had the window clips seated properly and my windows didn't want to close all of the way initially, took a few tries.

Inside of the car they hang down pretty low and are very dark in comparison to the factory tint.

Thanks for the reply!
Really like that coco/brown interior!

Looks awesome! Love the front tint. I may need to get that done. 108 here today... Good choice on light tires if you're not going to be off road.

Lift kit is looking good.

What are your thoughts on the install from Meyers Motorsports? I'm also in the Philly area and looking for someone to install the same kit.

I love Meyers Motorsports. I'm almost 40 and have been going to them since high school. The owner is an old-school honda guy and i've always gone to him for car modifications (although it's usually lowering my cars, not lifting). He was excited to do this because he had a Honda CRV at one point that he installed an Ironman lift kit on.

If you're looking for something in/closer to Philadelphia, I also spoke with these two shops and they were around the same price range and had a lot of experience lifting toyotas:

Awaiting the redesigned Baja Designs fogs so went with some Lamin-X orange film as a temporary measure to spruce up the front end:

Ironman Aluminum Flat Rack + NashFabCo side ladder. Install was sort of a b*tch on both of these to be honest

Poorly printed out black & white instructions/photos (that goes for Ironman as well, although Ironman's were easier to read but unfortunately a little more akin to Ikea instructions) - cmon guys its 2021, throw a color version .pdf on your website at the least, youtube video would be even better.

As for the actual install, sort of hard to explain but I had a lot of trouble attaching the ladder to the bottom "bracket" that attaches to the fender. You're supposed to mount (clip/hang) the top of the ladder to the roof bracket first. Problem was, the bottom of the ladder was a good half inch or so above the bracket, so I had to do a combo of hanging on the ladder, trying to finagle the mounting point, and eventually just brute force bolting the bottom bracket to the ladder which resulted in the bracket being bent. It works and it's solid for now but who knows.
