Howdy y'all!
My name is Andy. I currently live in Austin TX. Been wheeling a Toyota for the better part of 10 years now.
The wife, soon to be three kids and I plan to move to CO Springs next summer. Pending on if we find work. Can't really just pack up and go like i used to do back in the day.
Any way. Been trolling y'alls section here for a few months and decided i should go ahead and say hi.
This is my rig

Welcome! Looks like a fun rig. Get yourself up here so we can do some wheelin'. :steer:

Thanks! It's a really fun truck.
The plan is to get there ASAP! Have to wait on the new baby to be born first. Than we need to wait on my oldest to finish 6th grade. Hoping that once summer starts we will be able to move up there.

Hello,

I am new to the site and now a proud owner of a 2006 LC with AHC. I have been a Toyota owner for many years and own 2 4 Runners with some basic mods. I am looking to build my LC into a weekend warrior and will be asking some questions along the way. I hope I get a chance to meet some of you along the way. I am up in Thornton and looking forward to getting out and learning how to tackle these Rocky Mtns of ours.

Take Care and have a good one.

Welcome! Hopefully you can make it to one of our meetings or trail runs.

I think you are near Denver? If so, Rising Sun is the club closest to you, so I am sure you will want to check them out, as well.

We only have one 100 series in our club, so I'm sure Travis will be happy to have another one around.

You picked a good site. Keep an eye on the threads for runs and jump in when you can. You picked a great cruiser now let the build begin.

Hello fine gentlemen and ladies for the Colorado Crusiers,

My names is Alex, native to CO, so is my wife, seemingly a rear combo these days..LOL We live in northern suburbs of Denver.
I purchased our 04 LC in late Jan. and have been completely obsessed with it. The mod bug bit hard. Hope to be able to make some of group rides in the future. Unfortunately this weekend is out for me.

Check out some of my earlier post of my build pix.

Hey everyone I'm Will just moved to Colorado Springs from Texas and also picked up a 1985 FJ60 that's pretty much stock this morning and couldn't be happier. Been working with Toyotas since I was a kid now I get to see if anything stuck!

Seen a lot of sweet looking trucks since I've been here looking forward to seeing some more maybe out on the trails!

Welcome!

Is that the 60 I've seen on Craigslist lately? Looks like a fun rig, any plans for it?

Hope to see you out on a run or a meeting soon.

Sure is picked it up for what I think was a decent deal and the guy even through in the original rims! The rear end has a lot of rust but that'll be probably a year before I get to it.

Plans....
-Tune up (not sure what all needs to be done with this yet)
We'll it needs new tires so im not sure if I'll clear 33's the guy put on a add a leaf lift so I'm not sure if that will cut it.
-Bumper front and rear
-Winch
-4.11 -4.88's not sure what yet
-selectable locker

Just flew into Hayden, drove to Steamboat Springs, and spotted a red 40 just below the ski resort .... So I feel somewhat at home ! Merry Christmas, maybe Santa was in his LC Sled!

Left Colorado 48 years ago. Just moved back to Canon City.

Have a stock '79 FJ40 I bought new. Also have an '86 FJ60 which has been handed down thru IH8MUD members.

I'm not interested in rock crawling. You guys do any milder stuff?

Jim

Welcome Jim.

Yes, we do plenty of mild stuff. The run coming up on January 27th to Shubarth run is on the low end off medium. Not many rocks, but there might be a washout that requires spotting or icy patch here and there.

Keep an eye on the upcoming calendar on the Coloradolandcruisers.com main page. We'll be putting it together for this year soon. Last year we did Medano Pass down south, that's close to you and rock free- and it's been a while since we did shelf road and phantom canyon, so those might wind up on the schedule too. Never can tell :) You can research any of the trails we are running on traildamage.com. Welcome back to the good life.

Welcome!

Sounds like you've got some fun vehicles with some great stories behind them.

As for the trails, I'm sure you'd enjoy most of what we do. Some of the trails get a little rocky, but most of the time there is a bypass. Personally, I like to go 4 wheeling mostly to get out into nature and soak in the sounds, smells, and scenery.

Luke mentioned some of the trails in your area. We did a few of those in 2013 and I know that we have members wanting to get back down there and explore/camp this coming year.

We have meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, come on up if you've got the time.

-Travis

Thanks for the replies.

It's going to take a while to get settled in. You'll probably be hearing from me then.

Jim

I hope Santa has something faster then a 40 to deliver his presents with. Lol
I hope you have a happy new year ericinsc.
I hope to do phantom canyon this year right after a good snow again. It would be a good trip for you Jim if you get a chance to join in.

Hello - my name is Tim and I live in NW Colorado Springs. I drive a '96 LC pretty much stock, though I've added OME 2.5" and some larger tires. I'm looking for a good group to ride with and learn from. I usually go out with my wife and kids, but looking for some others to get out with for some rides. How do I get involved? Where/when are meetings?

Thanks!

Tim

Hey Tim! Meetings are the third Tuesday of every month (Jan 20 is the next one) and we meet at Redline Landcruisers at 1050 Ford St in Colorado Springs. We have a great group of guys that drive everything from FJ40s to mall cruisers, stock to highly modified. We do trail runs every month, some easy, some hard, but all are a good time. Looking forward to having you come out to a meeting or run!
