Anyone know what would happen if I just pulled this part off to inspect it?

Worst case is you’d get a qt of fluid and have to rebleed AHC. Probably just bleed at that bleeder there and proceed, right?
 
Finally got around to installing the new damping actuator for the right front shock absorber. It wasn't too bad of a job. I put it in high mode and set a jack stand under the frame before releasing pressure through the bleeder valve. This limited the amount of fluid I lost and gave me some room to work. It's so nice to have the damping working properly again.

These actuators are not cheap! I got it a new one from megazip in Japan for the same price as used ones being sold on fee-bay.
