Hi All. Newbie here! I have a LX470 2006 that I just put a OME 3” lift lit in. Time to upgrade the tires. I have my eyes on BFG KO2 285/17R/16. Current wheel rims are stock at 17”. So I’ll have to replace the wheels. I’m looking at 16x8 5x150 steel wheels. What offset and backspace should I target to accommodate the lift kit? Drive activity is beach, trail, road and 4x4 runs across top of the US. So I don’t want the tires to stick out grossly. Any feedback and thanks in advance.

To my knowledge, the 2006 model year came standard with 18” factory wheels. If you want to run 16s, Just get a set of the 16” factory LX or LC wheels from a 98-02 model year if you want 285/75r16.

Cheers for getting back to me. My searches turned up that a ‘02 LC/LX 16” wheel will fit on my ‘06 LX which fits with your thoughts. Now I’m having a hard time finding factory wheels. It’s all alloy these days and nothing in steel in that size/ bolt pattern. The alloy wheels I have been able to find are reduced load bearing (not too big of a deal) and only come in zero offset which is different than the 60mm offset in the factory wheels. I hate to buy wheels that don’t end up fitting! Am I over thinking this? My brain is mush now :)

Keep an eye on FB Marketplace, people are giving away their stock takeoffs from all years. They're honestly some of the best OEM wheels.

In the US, about the only readily available steel 5x150 wheels, in the factory offset range, are 18” 2nd gen Tundra takeoffs or spares.

Common ~33” tires used on OE wheels:
285/75R16 on 16” wheels.
275/70R18 on 18” wheels.

Thanks all. I think I’m going to have to use 17”. More options that are more accessible. Thanks for all your feedback and keep on 4x4ing!
