I'm in the middle of a motor swap on a '99 LX470 and everything seems to be plug and play with the exception of the main/ large transmission plug, which is a different shape. I assuming the salvage motor came from a later truck with an overdrive transmission. Both plugs have the same amount of wires (9) and appear to be same color codes, but I'm not 100% confident to just splice on the new plug, plug it in and hope for the best. Can anybody shed any light on this subject, as I'm not thrilled about the idea of swapping the full motor harness, as I just dropped the replacement motor in the bay last night. Thanks in advance for any input.
