Hey all,
Just purchased an 05 lx470, Dec 1 and am getting ready for a trip down to Baja. Have been fabbing up a sleeping system.
I had my buddy build the rear drawer slides that fit when the rear seats are still installed.
I removed the rear seats this evening and fabricated a bracket that attaches to the factory mounts and into the drawer slides to elongate the platform and give us lots of under bed storage space.
I also built an aluminum molle panel tray to hold our bags while driving and allow us to sleep with the items above our feet. Attached are a few photos!

Once I get the fit dialed in I will carpet tops of the platform and stain the other wood components. Steel will be powder coated.

Cheers

Taylor

Maybe flip the Molle panels so the "sharp" edge is not in the sleeping area?

And maybe anchor the top portion to the upper seatbelt bolt to prevent lateral movement.

This looks like great work! But don't tell me you're going to Baja and not sleeping under the stars! Hopefully this is a just-in-case-of-rain solution. ;)

Finally got things reassembled. Been busy with real work (unfortunately) but am pretty please with how things came together. We are leaving in a week so not much extra time to modify things. Probably just gonna smash s*** in there and go for it!
I'm sure I'll have many things to modify when I get home 😅
