Not much movement at outer end of axles but front diff jumping around. Is this a textbook front diff bushing issue?
Thanks

The front diff cover’s tapping on the cross member, bushing is probably shot.

There might be a second problem like a broken bolt that was supposed to hold the front diff against the cross member for limiting its movement. That’s way too much movement of the front diff shifting from D to R.

Most of these front diff bushing bolts (side, rear, front) are torqued at 137 ft lbs.

Looked a bit closer and found my answer. Will be replacing.

New cushion and stopper. Much less clunk.

Forgot to mention, I also filled gaps with high torque ultra gray. Won’t ever need changing again.
