Lx470 central locking and alarm (1 Viewer)

Hi all

Looking for some advice.

I just bought a 98 lx470 that has some electrical gremlins.

The alarm goes off whenever I open the car with the key. Key fob won't remote unlock.

On top of that, the central locking locks all the doors when you turn the ignition off.
It's at an auto electrician and so far he can't work it out.

Finally, the servo for the telescopic steering is constantly wirring but the feature doesn't work.

If anyone can give some guidance with this I'd really appreciate it

i cant help with the alarm - but the servo motors for the tilt / telescoping wheel go bad after a long period of time. Some people just unplug them, unless your wheel is stuck in a really bad spot - then replacement is necessary. There are write ups on here how to do it

Thanks. Couldn't find instructions to unplug. Seems most people get the dealer to plug in their tool and disable it. I'll give that a shot
