And I'll say it's a far more complete supercar than those others, even in historic context.
I hope Toyota greenlights the Supra concept FT1
The NSX is just overrated imo.

Look fwd to the Slee shocks update. I'm thinking of ordering them too

Thanks, I too think it will also be a classic. With only 7,000 brought into the US since it showed up 6 years ago, the numbers are there to support it. There were 12,000 MKIV Supras and 9,000 NSX's.

And you're right they are already talking about the next version having hybrid electric power.

Haha yeah you are telling me!! It is weird after 16 years and managing 140 people that would do what I say, to go to dealing with college science deans that are a pain in the ass. lol.

Why the change? Props to you Ryan!

Well my current career is great but I lack passion for it, I have done well but it was a money over happiness argument and I am choosing happiness or at least I hope I am. haha. I am at the point where I am not going to have any upward promotion potential until someone dies and realistically I don't want to work directly for the gov doing what I do with all the bad press and misinformation.

The medical field has always been a draw to me, when I was 26 I took the MCATs and was accepted to Med School, but the time was wrong, and it didn't happen, so now, a decade later, I am not going to med school but I will be pursuing a pretty cool medical career. So in 5 years I should be able to have some cool toys again. haha.

Haha Wtf my luck has not been good. Jumped in the truck to just run it down to the carwash. Stray dog runs out in from of me, instinctively serve left, up on the curb, and take out a light post. Fawk!!!! it goes up and over the truck and for a minute I am thinking well s*** I might have been saved by bumper and roof rack.... Nope.

Damn! That's some bad timing right there...I guess you can be thankful it wasn't the GT-R that you went to the car wash in.

Wow Scott, amazing! I feel like I am reading about myself. Good for you and wanted to let you know you are in good company. After 10+ years in business technical sales I felt the same way. Lacked passion for it, actually began to hate it and the monthly grind of the sales cycle, goals and rollercoaster ride. I also always felt like I would love to do something to help people. I also just could not fathom travelling nationally and internationally 3 weeks a month as many of the jobs were requiring me to do away from my daughter. I ended up taking a whole new path into diagnostic medical sonography (ie: ultrasound) and am enjoying it. Although being a student at 40 yo is interesting. I should be licensed at the end of this year and hopefully will be practicing end of this year / early next. Best of luck in your career change!

Very nice! Well good to know I am not the only one crazy enough to do it! Haha. So what makes being a student at 40 so interesting?? lol. I do know the few times I have had to go on campus for admin stuff, it makes me feel really damn old! ha

Finishing up my second master's right now. At 38 with two small kids and a full time career there is no glamour about it at all. Just jump right in there and grind it out...you'll be done before you know it and can continue schoolin us noobs in the world of 80s!

it has been alot of fun actually, I have a very understanding wife. It is just funny (and fun) to be around such young people. I do feel old at times but have had the opportunity to impart a bit of wisdom when asked for it from a few of them in my class. I feel like this was meant to be. But with a 3 week old baby in the house, I gotta get busy and get done and working! lol.

Yeah I am not sure what exactly will happen, or how I should approach it with the insurance company? I need to do more research, but if they are going to replace parts, a new hood, windshield, weatherstrip, roof skin or repair, new rear hatch or repair, and roof rack with labor could fairly easily be worth more than half the kbb value of the truck on paper. In excellent condition they say the truck is only worth $4800

For insurance you need to fight the valuation they put on these rigs... I had this situation recently and was able to share trucks for sale in the local area that were valued much higher than what they had listed. If they do total it you will get the option to buy it back and have the branded title... be sure to factor that into your negotiations since the truck will now be worth drastically less.

I think it is situational. I got really attached to an old 240sx that I had when I met my wife in 1996. It wasn't that great of a car, but it marked a great time in our lives and I hated to sell it years later. I have grown really attached to my '91 because I/we have so much fun with it and my wife has so much fun ridiculing me about it.

I totally get your affection with the cars. They become part of the fabric of your life. Some are woven in more tightly than others.

Good luck Ryan! Show them your build thread. Kinda depressing for us 80 owners when something like this happens to our cruisers. Theres no way in h3ll I'd take $4800 for my cruiser! Shoot I got that in just gas receipts in my ash tray....
