The USB port on my 13 LX570 with Mark Levinson is not working properly. When plugged in to my iPhone (have tried multiple cords) it will begin to crackle, distort and then eventually just stop working. It seems as if the whole module needs to be replaced.

This appears to be the correct part on LexusPartsNow.com 86190-60040 - Lexus Parts Now

However I believe I found the exact same genuine part cheaper on Ebay (located in Dubai) 86190-60040 OEM GENUINE TOYOTA ADAPTER ASSY, STEREO 8619060040 | eBay

Has anyone replaced this before and how easy is it? Instructions

Thanks

Anybody have any help or suggestions? Is the USB/Aux part the same as the one on the Landcrusier? Is it easy to replace myself or do I have to take it to the dealer?

Easy to replace but need to remove trim piece as it’s screwed in underneath. Want the FSM pages?

here you go. the gray connector below the cup holder is a pain to disconnect.

I have removed the AUX/USB module before since mine wasn't working at all when I bought my LX. While the "standard" procedure is what @nwfl4runner attached, I managed to pop the module out and access the harness cable underneath the module with these two steps only:
1.

3. It will help if you pry a thin panel removal tool (or a thin screw driver) around the AUX/USB housing and wiggle it out:

It is extremely easy to remove these panels, don't overthink it. Also, I noticed that the AUX/USB module (at least in my car) was NOT screwed underneath (the harness cable is attached to the module from the bottom, so not sure why some think it is screwed in from underneath!).

FWIW, the harness cable was un-plugged in my car. Once I plugged it back in it started working.

Thank you very much what a huge help and resource this is. I can't wait to try your detailed instructions! What a great forum.

Thank you all for the replies and helpful instructions. However, the only tool I needed was a very small flat head screwdriver. I did not remove any panels or cup holder boxes. All I did was pry around the edges of the module with the screwdriver and it pops out. Not screwed in underneath. The cable is attached and comes out far enough to disconnect and connect to the new module. Easy job that took literally less than 5 minutes! Going to the dealer for this job is highway robbery!

I paid $80 shipped from Dubai for the part brand new genuine Toyota from EBay. (Link above in my first post). Lexus dealer wants about $300 for the part?!

Everything works well now. Thanks again
