Hi all, had a good search and read through most of the LC an LX threads but can't seem to find the info I'm looking for.

Il interested in changing up some Lx570 wheels and tyres and I was wondering if anyone has any experience.
The 2010-2014 Lx's here in Oz come with 20x8.5 wheels wraped in 285/55/R20 tyres.

Will a 20x10 +25 wheel with a 305/55/R20 tyre have any clearance issues ?
We're talking a difference of 2" in diameter and 3/4" wider compared to the stock 285/55.
The wider wheel & tyre with less offset should keep the inside of the tyre in the stock location.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I believe when lowered it will definitely rub (my 285/55R20’s rub) when fully tuned to the right, unless something specific is wrong with mine...

You can compare wheel fitments with a calculator like this one. Aim for as small a scrub radius change as possible.

as far as diameter, the lx can fit up to 35” with little work, but offset and width are critical.
those 20x8.5 are 56 or 60mm

Question is.. why would you want to go 305 wide on the 20's in the first place? Just for looks/daily driving duties or for offroading?

It won't drop in but is perhaps doable with a bit of plastic massaging.

For reference, I had 305/55R20 on stock 20x8.5 with a 1" spacer, making effective offset of +35. You're proposing a wider wheel (not a big deal), and +25 offset which is about 1/2" further out from the body. That will make the tire swing wider and likely to contact plastics at the front of the tire well and rear at the mud flap. It'll be really close to the fender lip too on compression

Here's two guides for you that should have strategies you'll need. You'll like need do plastic mods closer to what I used to accommodate 35s. I don't believe you'll need to do anything to the body mount. But you'll likely need to remove the mud flap, trim a bit of the step, and hammer back to brackets.
