Are the split bench seats from a 77 45LPB the same as those from a 40? I know the brackets aren't, but what about the actual seats?

I believe they are different. The newer split bench actually fit alot better than the older 40/45 split benches.

Let me know when you find out! I've got a mint condition pair out of a 78 I put in storage YEARS ago. I just assumed they were the same, but never looked at them very closely.

45LPB uses at least a different passanger seat, it has a cutout(for lack of a better word) for the gas filler. the 40's don't have this or its not the same
