Can somebody post a pic of how the hell this pipe bolts on? The 90 goes to the radiator, other end to water pump. The bracket w u-shape slot looks like it floats in mid air just below my AC pump!?!?

See that little rubber bushing that is bolted to underside of the a/c bracket? Right behind where it says DENSO on the belt. It has a stud on it with a nut that the u-shaped bracket on the pipe bolts to.

I think I see some dust on that motor...never mind just dust on my computer screen! That thing is a work of art! Thanks for the reference pic!

Thanks Fjmoney, the next question i have is the short radius pipe that goes from the small output on the pump to the oil cooler. it has 2 flanges on it, looks like they might bolt to the backside of the timing cover bolts. Sorry for all the questions, PO just left both of these pipes hanging by the hoses :(

Yes they do bolt up to rear of timing cover!

Couple issues I can't seem to figure out.
1-looks like I'm missing a lower bracket w insulator for the coolant pipe. All that I have is a bolt that hangs in the bottom of the AC pump.

2-what bolts on the timing cover line up best? If I use one pattern the pipe is way too close to the pump outlet. If I use the next pattern CCW, the lower tab hits the engine block and won't fit on a bolt. Maybe one or both of the pipe tabs are bent?

One looks like your missing your tension pully for your AC BELT!
Looks like this

One on the lower left of picture.
The two studs for that tube
One is located behind timing cover closest to the engine bracket. The second is located at the top lines up with the block. Also there is a small 45 degree hose about 1inch long that attaches to that lower tube and the small outlet of the water pump on the underside
Hope this helps.

wow, thanks 89! i wonder why there is an AC tensioner when my ac pump has a tensioner bolt on the bracket? I guess i need to find a pully bracket so i have the insulator mount.

for the small cooler pipe, do both tabs mount behind the timing cover? i can see the lower one does but the upper is hard to see.

I may have that coolant pipe with bracket less insulator for you.
Maybe PO hacked it off.
I have a new one coming from dealer.
You can still get the insulator that attaches to that bracket.

Yeah that stud attachment for the that lower tube is hard to see and a tight squeeze. Look directly at that motor mount bracket it is behind the timing plate and next to the engine bracket screws. Run your fingers between tree and you can feel it.

Looks like you have that pully bracket. YOu just need the pully wheel itself. Hence the stud sticking out

yea the 2nd pic in post #11...shows the "stud" where the A/c tensioner pulley mounts (or at least the one on the bottom). I'm not real sure this is needed that much. Back when I had stock engine...I heard a sound like a gun shot under the hood and it was the pulley finding a new home and that bolt sheared off. I never replaced it. Quite common for that lower a/c pulley tensioner to be missing or to be non-functional from what I've read. Its fun to get to as well. Not sure I would do anything but remove the bolt..if its worth it.

My idler bearing had seized, so I bought a replacement. That's when I noticed that it didn't even contact the belt.

It did at one point in its life. The "pulley" had a smooth, shiny outer edge like a belt used to ride on it.

I just removed it and never noticed a difference.

I was putting on a new insulator and lower rad pipe and hose last night and couldnt seem to re-install the pulley such that it wasnt in contact with the pipe attachment piece. Is it ok if they are in contact? I dont see how it is possible to install it any other way.

Below are two photos, one from underneath the truck and one from the side for perspective.
