I had all the fluids changed in my Toyota Landcruiser PZJ-70(1990), immediately after I bought it, a few weeks ago, at the toyota garage.

However, the toyota garage had been in great hurry to change the fluids of the vehicle. So today, I went to another garage to make sure all the fluids had been changed. They found that the gearbox and the 4wd box had very little transmission fluid. They had to replenish both the transmission boxes with a total of 3ltrs of transmission fluid. The mechanic test drove the vehicle after and said that all seemed well. But I'm concerned I may have damaged the transmission. Is it likely? The transmission in question is a 4 speed gearbox.

Thanks.

That's a sh***y performance of the Toyo dealer.
How come you got the fluids checked once more? Strange noises?

Any way, if you have not been driving a lot of K's or under harsh conditions (heavy off-roading, towing big trailers) I would not worry too much.
These boxes are rugged.
If you want to do some extra, drive it for some distance, say 1500 k's or so, and then get the tranny and gearbox changed again. Have it done then when the stuff is warm so the fluid's drain easily taking with them eventual particles as much as possible (have them remove the filler plug before draining)
