I'm picking up a 96 land cruiser tomorrow. Inline 6 cylinder. Anyone know if you have to use high test or not? Thanks

really? so there is no benefit to running higher oct gas? I have had my 1994 for about a year now and it has never drank anything but 91 oct plus I add a 1/4 bottle of Lucas flue injector cleaner to every fill up. this may be overkill but the price is not That much more maybe 10-15 dollars a tank and it makes me feel like I'm doing my part to keep the engine running well. In the end it may not make a difference but it makes me feel go so i do it.

I am not so sure. When I had my headgasket done, there was a tremendous amount of carbon in there...
Most carbon buildup can be traced to driving habits rather than grade/brand of fuel/oil. Most of the time motors with high carbon buildup have been driven in short trip mode at sometime in their past. When driven on short drives, the fuel system runs rich and there is more moisture present, if the motor is turned off before reaching operating temp, this mixture will deposit as carbon buildup.
