Hey mudders,
We got detoured near Albuquerque and decided to do some wheeling, instead of sitting in traffic. The next day, we noticed the low beams were not functioning. After going thru the fuses and replacing the Lo-beam relay, I feel the problem is due to the ground. We are on vacation and dont have tools or really want rip this thing apart. Has someone who has come across this on their LC200 tell me where the body ground is to this circuit, so hopefully a squirt of the electrical contact cleaner might solve the issue? Is it under the fuse box? Thanks!

I did not see any specific reference to this problem with a search. No low beams in any switch setting sure seems like a relay or CB issue. What year LC and is there any aftermarket lighting or electrical mods? Ever have water inside?

A1 through 4 are what I’d be looking at on that diagram if grounds are your suspicion.

Not sure your mileage but if the fuses are OK don't rule out that your bulbs might have just gotten damaged. Yes it seems unlikely that both would go at the same time, but you never know. After wheeling in Ouray the second time I noticed my headlights were flickering a ton when idling. In my case it seemed to get better for a while but when it came back recently I swapped the bulbs and the issue stopped.

A pair of DMX bulbs are ~$30 on Amazon and are returnable if that's not the cause. They're probably 85% as good as OEM but they are cheap and if you do the passenger's side first it's pretty easy to rule them in/out with about 5-10 minutes of effort to swap. Driver's side is tighter but not too bad if you remove the windshield washer filler tube (one little clip and it'll slide out).

Did you go through any water crossings and/or hit a lot of mud?
