1988 Toyota FJ62 land cruiser

-Odometer shows 225k

-I recently bought with plans to trail rig it, and then part it out but I figured I’d give it a chance to be live on before doing that.

-The body is rusty. It’s as bad as it looks and I’m trying to hide nothing.

-The frame is surprisingly very solid (minor surface rust) , I put it through the hammer test. The floor seems good aswell, anything structural seems A1. The interior looks about x10 better than body, and the paint (where it has is it) is in good shape

-It runs well, the exhaust is essentially nonexistent.
-Non functioning radio/AC/and PS
-needs General TLC and obviously a lot of body repair
-Good tires

-It runs and drives, 4wd seems to function as it should.

-Retains a clean title

Asking $4500 with negotiation in mind.
-I can deliever for a fee
-I’m in Louisville Kentucky and happy to answer any questions
-Text me for any additional photos, as it isn’t letting me upload very many

-It would make an awesome driver or resto.

Welcome to the forum!

This thing is pretty rusty, and I am coming off with the best intention but I think you would have better luck parting it or maybe slightly lower your expectations on what you'll get for it..we had this same situation happen a while back with another really rusty FJ60.

Just figured I'd give you a heads up and my .02. Either way - GLWTS!!

Thanks! I had a friend steer me in the direction of this forum. The cruiser certainly has its body rot. I’ve parted stuff before and just hate it, plus my FZJ80 (will be forsale soon) is the one that gets wrenched on when I get the chance, along with my E36 and 190e Cosworth. I’d just hate to kill a driving cruiser. $4500 is far from set in stone, and I’m more than happy to work with anyone when it comes to cash lol.

Totally get it! I hope you get as much as you can for it and definitely stick around!
