History:
I bought the GX with a blown headgasket in 2018. It had 6 previous owners. The 6 owners initially scared me, but my intended usage for the vehicle was off-roading with modifications and a full update on maintenance, so I knew whatever wasn’t done, will be done by me. The dash has been replaced under warranty as well. I own a mechanic shop, so all maintenance work was done by my shop. First thing I did was took the heads off, and had them inspected. They were way out of spec; therefore, I went ahead and purchased a used motor with 71k miles on it. I did the timing belt and water pump, installed the motor, and she started right up. At the same time, we did all the maintenance and modifications listed above. Since then, the vehicle has been great. She’s been on a couple overland trips and has never let me down.
