The fuel pump filter sock was clean, but I installed the new one anyway. The tank is very clean inside, but I flushed it out anyway. It may have been debris that was inside the fuel line, but I flushed the line out when I did the build. There may have been stuff inside the line that settled down to the low point when it was parked in the driveway for the winter - I didn't drive it for five or six months to keep it off the sanded/salted streets.
