Update: Sold. Thank you for your interest.
Clean, white 80 series Land Cruiser with tan leather interior. Unlocked. Extensive service history and preventative maintenance with documentation. This 80 series has been our weekend driver and family camping truck for ~8 years. Includes 3rd-row seats (drawers currently installed). The truck does not have the F/R lockers. The price is $20k.
Mechanical Condition:
The truck is in excellent running condition. As you will see in the maintenance summary below, we have been aggressive about preventative maintenance ($20k over the past 8 years) to make sure it gets the family out to and back safely. All the baseline work is done, plus major maintenance on valves, valve gaskets, cooling system, exhaust system, braking, bushings, power steering, fuel tank/systems, alternator, starter, distributor cap, spark plugs, etc..
Emissions
Passes CA emissions every year. Great scores because we replaced oxygen sensors and installed a new Toyota factory exhaust system, catalytic converter, muffler, and pipes.
Update: Trucked Smogged on 2/7/23. CA requires the seller to give the buyer a valid smog test.
Interior Condition:
Good interior condition. There is no cracking on the front, rear, or 3rd-row seats. The original carpet and floor mats are in great shape under the WeatherTech. The sale includes 3rd-row seats, but drawers are currently installed. Includes minor interior improvements like LED light upgrades, Covercraft sun shade, factory dash cup holder, Wit’s end console organizer, and removable molle passenger seat back (mainly to protect the seat from our kiddo).
Issues: The driver’s seat operates, but one button is missing. Second-row seats show wear on the backs.
Exterior Condition:
Original paint from 1996. There is some pinstriping on the sides from family camping trips to Mojave and Anza Borrego. The hood and rear hatch struts have all been replaced. I had the passenger side view mirror replaced to fix a common loose mirror issue on the 80s. And we sourced 5 OEM wheels and had a local wheel shop refinish them.
Issues: There is a small dent in the rear bumper and under the sill (under the truck below the passenger door)
Electronics Condition:
The power antenna, automatic locks, rear window defroster, front/rear side windows, and sunroof electronics and motors all work. We replaced the rear window in 2022 to update the defroster heating elements (we use the truck in the winter at Mammoth). Includes an OBDi reader to monitor engine temp, mpg, etc.
Issues: As is typical for 80 series trucks, the green drive light, and a few HVAC lights are burned out.
Upgrades and accessories included:
The truck has modest upgrades that make it more usable for family desert camping and drives to Mammoth:
Maintenance History Summary:
All work done by Toyota Service Center and two Toyota Land Cruiser specialist independent shops SD Trux (San Diego Trux | Independent Toyota and Lexus Service and Repair - https://sdtrux.com) and TLC 4x4 (TLC4x4 - https://www.tlc4x4.com/)
