THIS is a running & driving 80-series Land Cruiser with relatively low miles, zero rust and a clean title in my name. I am in the Army and was in the middle of baselining it when I got re-stationed and unfortunately could not take it with me. I have done lots of work to it within the last 1000 miles:
-Fresh oil change
-New spark plugs & wires, distributor cap & rotor
-PCV hoses & valve
-Valve cover gasket
-OEM air filter
-Replaced all heater & radiator hoses and flushed system (including PHH) and flushed system
-FHH and rear heater bypass
-AOE steel bumper (also comes with 12000lb superwinch)
-Transmission flush & filter replacement
However it does need a couple small things to be ‘daily driver’ material:
-It will need an EGR vacuum modulator to pass smog. Extremely simple to install and requires no tools, I can show you how to do it. I have all of the vacuum lines it needs to be hooked up
-It will need the heater control valve installed, again very simple and I have the OEM part.
-Both front windows are slow to go up & down (especially the passenger side)
-Floppy mirror syndrome (Wit’s end sells a kit to fix this for not much money)
Other known flaws:
-Windshield has a crack on the passenger side that has been professionally sealed & does not leak
-Radio antenna has been removed but it has a Bluetooth head unit
-Windshield washer system has been removed
-Paint is pretty faded but that’s all Cruisers of this era
Overall this would be a steal for someone who could fix the small issues which would only cost a couple hundred bucks. Great base for an overlanding build.
$6500 is a very fair price and these rigs are going up in value like crazy
