Fixed it.

Holley with a dirt sucking air cleaner...

One of my neighbors is interested in that truck. He asked the seller if he kept the heater and AISIN carb. No answers yet.

Heater..

I'm having trouble figuring out this strange heater hose routing, unless the top hose hooked to the shut-off valve isn't connected to anything on the other end....:hmm:... for this type of sale one would think a little more effort would be worth the time to spruce up the engine bay.... ..all the lose ends & firewall is disgusting ....

I forgot, everyone on MUD bought their LC for $500, despite the fact that it was worth many times more than that...

That's a beaut. I'd have paid as much as $5295 for a 40 that nice, even though it lacks a chrome bezel and gold lame' upholstery. :hillbilly:

Yeah, but everyone knows you piss away money like you've been up at Avery Brewing for days, swilling down the fine beers!

Wait a tick. Are you trying to tell me my truck is going to be worth something when I am done with my build?

That red truck is nice. You respect it more and its price after rebuilding one frame off on your own. Good for him for getting 30K for it. Trucks like that have always gotten good money at auction.

You've heard the expression "Spending money like a drunken sailor." :D

Avery is sounding pretty good right now. I'll bet it's not 100 in the shade in Boulder. Certainly not in the tasting room.

I continue to be amazed at the prices people are willing to pay for clean stockish 40's. The guy who appraised my truck for USAA last year came up with a value of $27-30K. I didn't believe it then and I don't believe it now, but seeing the red '77 go for $30K is giving me second thoughts. Mr. Daniel's 40 must be worth somewhere in the $100K range...and that's ICON territory. ;)

I'm in Boston right now, and they have some good beers here as well. A few too many Bostonians, but watcha gonna do?

I appreciate the good words about my 40. Tell you what, I'll sell it to you for half that, and we'll both be happy. Or at least one of us... ;)

now that it has jump seats, it would fetch 30k.

Before that it was only worth 25K ebay dollars.

Has anyone noticed the fj40 market really pick up in the past 4 months. I have seen selling prices double on rough rigs and at least 50% on restoration-lite rigs.

One of our employees used to say about my Dad "He spends money like a mad woman scatters s**t!!!"
