I did some fishing and camping up on the border near the Cruces Basin. Lots of beautiful areas and open camping. However the roads are starting to erode badly.

Found a house in White Rock, moving out next week. I spent some time driving around Los Alamos, Taos and up to Red River last weekend and am super excited about moving out to the area, lots of great sights and scenery.

Time to start making runs to Farmington....

So, will there be any opportunity for camping in non-established areas anywhere near ABQ, when this management is in place? Will anything be available to our rigs in Santa Fe NF?

Basically their plan is to squish all campers into less than 1% of the forest area, unless you want to hike in.

You can imagine what that will do to that 1% of the land area....

Yep. Genius, isn't it? Oh yeah, I'm sure on the SFNF website you can download maps that will show the open roads, trails, and areas. The "areas" include dispersed camping corridors. Really more like concentrated camping corridors than dispersed....

Pulled into the new place tonight! Passed a cool 80 series with an ACC logo on it on Interstate 40 today and there is a rocking 4runner sitting on Rover Blvd. Plus a nice looking older 60 series on my street. Yodas everywhere!

Yep, that solid axle white one? I've never seen it out, but he had the axles out a few years ago.
