Hello. Anyone have an old starter core for 4.5? I am upgrading my starter but want to keep my existing as a backup. Would be willing to pay 20 bucks for one.

Any 1fz starter. Preferably a non working one.
Sorry, which size? For the 1FZ there are 1.4, 2.0, and 2.2 KW ones if I remember correctly. 2.0 is the most common I believe.

It doesn't matter. My old starter is a 1.4. But either 1.4 or 2.0 will work.

I'm looking for a core to return to Toyota for credit. Not to rebuild.
Can you read the part number? It looks like the 1.4kW was all years. 2.2kW was 9208-9308, and the 2.0kW was 9308+.
1.4kW: 28100-66040
2.2kW: 28100-66060
I also get a 28100-66050 that superceedes to -66060-84 (2.0kW, 2.2kW)
